In the summer of 2021, we introduced A Summer of Praise! #asummerofpraise is something we've put together to encourage families during the summer to learn and memorize doctrinally sound songs.
We know summer can be less busy than the rest of the year (sometimes 🤪) and so we thought it's a great time to do this!
Believers have sung their way through history and because of that we have many hymns and spiritual songs available to us to build up our faith.
Learning through song is such an easy way to reinforce the things we are already teaching our children from God's word. My favorite hymn is "And Can It Be?" It is about the atoning work of Christ (Amazing love how can it be that thou my God should die for me!). We have much to praise Him for!
Our goal here is to draw our families closer to Christ as we praise Him together. Remember, if your children can sing the ABC's, or an intro song to a show they watch, they can learn to sing hymns and spiritual songs.
